Silkman Austen Brown Lawyers are looking for a Family Law Para-legal, with the role beginning in January 2025. Silkman Austen Brown are a well-established law-firm with offices in Broken Hill, Cobar and Dubbo. We pride ourselves on providing assistance across Far and Central-West NSW, in all areas of law such as criminal, family, conveyancing, estate planning and administration and civil disputes. This position is located in our Dubbo Office, where you will particularly be assisting our Family Law Team. There may also be opportunities for you to gain experiences in other areas of law that peak your interest.
Your role will entail being an assisting hand for our Family Law team, including other experienced family law para-legals and solicitors. The role will be part-time with the possibility to increase into full-time for the right candidate. Our office provides above industry award salary that is negotiated based on experience. You must be a positive, welcoming and hardworking person, willing to learn new processes and tasks.
The role will include tasks such as:
Answering phones and directing callsAssist with file preparation and organisationHandle and communicate with clients, both in person, online and via phoneSchedule appointments and maintain staff calendarsCollaborate with other staff members Assist in drafting documentsThe following are requirements for the position:
NO previous experience in law requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google softwareBe able to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality Ability to communicate effectively with others, including staff members and clientsAbility to multi-task and handle strict deadlinesGood attitude and willingness to learn
