The purpose of this role is to develop and implement parenting plans and property agreements when individuals are separating, have separated, or divorced. The Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner will work within a child-focused and culturally responsive practice model.What we offer:Competitive Salary + Super + Salary Sacrifice (up to $15,899 for tax free benefits and $2,650 p/a for entertainment benefits).Relocation support of up to $4,000.Professional Development allowance of $3000 and 10 days study leave, pro rata.5 weeks annual leave.3 days extra leave between Christmas and New Year.EAP for employees and family members.Wellness Day off, per financial year.Key responsibilities:Conduct pre-mediation and mediation sessions using child-focused and child-inclusive mediation models.Contribute to the professional knowledge of Family Dispute Resolution services when appropriate.Commit to delivering and developing culturally responsive family service models and practices.Participate in the development and delivery of group sessions and seminars focusing on children's needs within families, when required.Promote Mediation services through professional networking, community presentations, and promotional activities.Demonstrated experience and theoretical knowledge of dispute resolution and mediation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective mediation sessions with clients from diverse backgrounds.Ability to work collaboratively within the FDR team, actively engage in supervision and participate in professional development.Strong problem-solving skills to facilitate conflict resolution between parties involved in disputes effectively.Cultural sensitivity to provide inclusive services that respect diverse cultural backgrounds.Essential Qualifications and Experience:Registration with the Australian Government Attorney General's Department of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRP) is essential.Successful completion of the
Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution
or equivalent qualifications to obtain registration as an FDRP.Demonstrated capacity to provide quality Family Dispute Resolution services, with the ability to undertake effective case management including administration tasks and updating client information software.Professional knowledge relating to the area of family relationship issues, including the impact of conflict on children.Requirements:A satisfactory Northern Territory working with children check.A satisfactory national criminal history check.A commitment to our Safeguarding Children Practice and Behaviour Guidelines.How to apply:To apply, please submit a Cover Letter addressing the selection criteria and an up-to-date Resume including two Referees.
