The successful candidate will require people skills and the ability to work with couples on resolving issues by generating flexible and practical options.
As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with Interrelate you will be providing a range of high quality, child-focused interventions to families post separation who are experiencing various levels of conflict and need support reaching agreements in relation to their children and/or the distribution of property.
The role will include intake, risk assessment, case management, and the provision of interventions including mediation and child inclusive practice under the jurisdiction of the Family Law Act.
If you are appointed as a Trainee FDR Practitioner, you will be paid an hourly rate of $37.68. Qualified Practitioners who have their FDR registration, will be paid in line with a SCHADS Award level 5, which is $53.24 per hour. The role will be based in our Coffs Harbour Office, working 22.5 per week, with the flexibility to negotiate your working days.
This is a Fixed-term contract position until 30 June 2026. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To meet the requirements for a qualified FDR position, you are required to hold a Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution, and current or imminent accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney General's Department.
To meet the requirements for a trainee FDR position, you are required to hold current enrolment in an approved dispute resolution/mediation/conciliation course that leads to qualification as a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and accreditation with the Attorney General Department.
As a Trainee you will be provided with on the job training, coaching and mentoring to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to be a qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and General Mediator.
