Factory Manager - Roofing And Cladding

As the Factory Manager for our prestigious client, you will oversee the efficient and effective operation of the Royal Park production facility.
This is a full-time position in which you will play a vital role in driving the company's factory operations.

What you'll be doing
Develop and implement innovative strategies to streamline factory operations Collaborate with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes Manage and coordinate all production activities to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery of products Oversee inventory management, material procurement, and quality control processes Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to maximise efficiency and productivity Lead, coach, and develop a team of production supervisors and operators Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, enhance safety, and boost output Collaborate with other departments to align production with sales, logistics, and business objectives Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations Lead safety and environmental awareness in line with Safety Certainty 2.0 principles with the Company and subcontractors Support project procurement activities including purchasing and management of goods and services where required Oversee the selection and training of qualified staff, ensuring clearly defined roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient operations What we're looking for
Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar production/manufacturing management role Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Good understanding of Pronto software (desirable) Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of production personnel Familiarity with inventory control systems and quality assurance processes Tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field Good understanding of Australian Standards (AS) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment Strong safety focus and knowledge Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and manage, lead and motivate a team Ability to organise and prioritise competing tasks What we offer
