Factory Assistant / Ironing, Packing, HookingA Curtains and Blinds – Burleigh Heads QLDFactory Assistants / Helpers needed for our busy commercial sewing work room.Immediate Start.Ironing curtain fabrics (primary responsibility)Placing curtain hooks into fabricFolding fabric ready for sewingEmptying fabric binsLifting and moving fabrics ready for sewingCarrying completed curtains and hanging them on shelf arms ready to go outAssisting with fabric cuttingFolding curtains and placing into plastic packagingThis is a standing position - you will be on your feet for the duration of the day completing these tasks.This is a commercial sewing workroom.Factory hours of operation span between 7:30 and 3:30 Monday to Thursday and 7:30 to 12:30 on Fridays. We can adjust your hours according to your needs (for example - later start, earlier finish) - please advise on application.It is a bright, air conditioned, clean workroom and is located upstairs on the second floor of our premises.This position is classified as casual. Weekly hours can vary but you can expect up to 37.5 hours per week - pending workload and needs of the factory.We shut down for approximately two weeks over Christmas and New Year.Please include a separate cover letter with your application explaining why you would suit the position and a bit about yourself.
