$115,097 - $122,657 (G08) + 17% superannuation Full-time, Permanent Position Job Reference: 763131 Embark on an exciting journey at Curtin University with the construction of our state-of-the-art Super Science Building.
This groundbreaking facility will be a jewel in our science hub, featuring advanced laboratories, innovative teaching spaces, and cutting-edge office environments, all equipped with specialised scientific infrastructure.
As the Facility Manager, you will play a critical role during the construction phase, ensuring seamless progress toward operational readiness.
This is a rare opportunity to be involved from the ground up, allowing you to develop a deep understanding of the building's operations and systems.
Once completed, you will take the reins in managing and operating this landmark facility, while also overseeing other scientific facilities across Curtin, including certified facilities, and laboratories.
What You'll Do: Develop and manage comprehensive maintenance and operational plans for all scientific facilities, ensuring alignment with university obligations and tenant needs.
Oversee the delivery of corrective, breakdown, and emergency services, while managing scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with statutory requirements and key performance indicators.
Liaise with service managers, tenants, and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service delivery and effective contract management.
Evaluate and report on the performance of scientific facilities, implementing improvements based on client feedback and satisfaction reviews.
Promote Curtin's profile as a "Green Star Community" through contemporary building practices and strategic asset management.
Lead and support staff and contractors, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high achievement.
What We're Looking For: Proven experience in the delivery of services to scientific facilities including PC3, OGTR and DAFF facilities, with a strong understanding of scientific equipment and building infrastructure.
Relevant engineering qualifications and experience, with strong asset and lifecycle management skills, and a strategic approach to handling complex, high-stake environments.
Demonstrated ability to handle compliance with government standards, manage audits, and keep certifications up to date.
A proactive leader ready to contribute to the facility's setup and operational planning from the beginning, ensuring a seamless transition into ongoing management.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage contracts and budgets effectively.
