About the opportunity We are looking for a Facility Manager to lead operations at the Lisarow PUD facility in the North Territory, NSW/ACT. This is a key leadership role within the AP Deliveries team, where you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of parcel and product deliveries and collections, ensuring high performance and meeting compliance obligations. You will also drive business efficiencies, cost management, and operational innovation.

What you'll deliver with us As the Facility Manager, your key focus will be to ensure that our Lisarow PUD facility runs smoothly, delivering high-quality service to customers and meeting operational targets. You'll lead your team in achieving business objectives, while also managing budgets, driving operational improvements, and ensuring compliance.
Key outcomes you will deliver: Service & Compliance: Oversee the facility's delivery and collection operations, ensuring we meet service standards and Community Service Obligations (CSO).Strategic Performance: Evaluate and drive the achievement of both short- and long-term business objectives.Financial Management: Manage facility budgets to align with financial operating plans and identify cost-saving opportunities.Customer Engagement: Lead initiatives that drive customer engagement and business outcomes in line with Australia Post's broader strategy.Safety Leadership: Establish a safety-first culture, ensuring the wellbeing of your team and contractors, and that safety practices are adhered to across all activities.You'll also Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including union representatives, contractors, and government bodies, to ensure alignment on business goals and operational performance.Lead a diverse team through coaching, team meetings, and one-on-one conversations, fostering high engagement and a performance-driven culture.Manage HR issues and ensure compliance with Australia Post's policies on workplace safety, equal employment opportunity, diversity, and performance management.About you You're a confident, results-oriented leader with significant operational experience in large, complex organizations. You have a deep understanding of financial management and a passion for driving business efficiencies. You're skilled at navigating changing environments, managing seasonal fluctuations, and building relationships across all levels of the business.
You will be someone who: Can make quick, effective decisions and drive change across teams and functions.Leads by example, with a focus on coaching and developing your team to perform at their best.Has a proactive, customer-centric mindset and always looks for ways to improve operational processes and performance.You'll also need Proven experience in operational leadership within complex environments, with a focus on managing delivery and collection operations.Strong business acumen and financial management skills, with the ability to meet budgets and drive cost efficiencies.Expertise in industrial relations, including managing union negotiations and workplace conflicts.Knowledge of safety, HR policies, and regulatory compliance, especially within the postal, logistics, or business services industries.A valid car license is required for this role.How we'll deliver for you At Australia Post, we offer a supportive, inclusive, and rewarding environment where your career can thrive.
