About the role BaptistCare Kintyre Lodge is looking for a Cook, to join our dedicated kitchen team. You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of food and service to our valued residents through the preparation of quality ingredients through to the delivery of wholesome cooked meals.
Cooking to a rotating menu, you will prepare meals including breakfasts, lunch and dinner therefore availability to work am and pm shifts is essential.
Duties may include: Enabling residents to live well by delivering tasteful, well presented, nutritious meals Creating, supervising and preparing menus Supervising to ensure correct procedures and kitchen practices meet BaptistCare HACCP Food Safety Plan standards Skills & experience Experience working in a busy commercial kitchen Working knowledge of Food Safety Guidelines (HACCP) An understanding of IDDSSI and texture modified foods an advantage Certificate III in Commercial Cookery/ Hospitality Benefits Salary packaging increasing your take-home pay + meal and entertainment card Access to in-house and online training programs including a comprehensive orientation upon arrival and a dedicated Learning & Development team for ongoing support Supportive, positive team environment Fitness Passport About Kintyre Lodge Located in the vibrant regional city of Dubbo, BaptistCare Kintyre Lodge is a welcoming, homely aged care home, offering 81 single bedrooms.
The Lodge, which is located next to BaptistCare Kintyre Retirement Village, offers 24-hour care and support to residents, catering to all needs and requirements - including residential respite. The home also features a specialised Memory Care Wing for residents living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Our lifestyle team at Kintyre Lodge run a fun and stimulating leisure activities program which includes bingo, exercise classes, craft, games, and outings, with the option for residents to participate as much or as little as they like.
All meals are cooked fresh onsite by our professional catering team, with a variety of nutritionally balanced menu options available each day.
