At the Mater Hospital, we believe there is a better way, and we continuously seek out new ways of delivering our services in the most efficient, productive and safe way possible.About You:You will assist the Facilities Manager with the maintenance of all hospital facilities and equipment, ensure that work is carried out in line with OH&S legislation, industry guidelines, AS/NZS Standards and respective NSW Health Department policy directives and to the service standards required by the hospital. As a 2IC, you will be enthusiastic, sharing our common values of Integrity, Justice, Compassion and Excellence to get the best out of your team.Selection Criteria:Class C Drivers LicenceMinimum five years Trades ExperienceExcellent Supervisory skillsSound working knowledge in the use of a diverse range of hand tools, power tools and associated plant and equipment.Knowledge of various processes involved in the provision of preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance tasks.Good working knowledge of OH&S legislation/guidelines.Mechanical or Electrical aptitudeGood communication skills, both written and oral.Abilities to support various trade disciplines in provision of service delivery.Strong Customer Service focusExperience working within a Healthcare EnvironmentDesirable Criteria:Proficient Microsoft Office SkillsPrior experience in the Facilities Management IndustryWhy Work for Mater:You will join a high performing team and a workplace with relationships built on mutual trust and respect.
