A Day in the Life
Medtronic Facilities function is transforming and we have a brand new role for a Facilities Supervisor based in our Sydney Head Office! You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing Global Facilities Standardization strategies across Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) region. This is an excellent role for an individual who will enjoy driving change, building efficiencies and aspiring to lead!
An exciting brand new role for a Facilities Supervisor to provide leadership and strategic direction to the facilities team responsible for the ANZ commercial offices. This is an onsite role.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Facilities Management (80%)

Translate and implement strategic Medtronic Facility Operations & Real Estate objectives from APAC Facilities leadership, assure timely follow up, reporting and completion.
Own and manage the delivery of workplace services (additions & alterations, soft & hard services, space management).
Develop and manage facilities operating expenses budget, forecasting, variance reporting and accrual management.
Drive vendors performance to achieve cost efficiency through partnership with Indirect Sourcing team.
Work with Medtronic external partners to deliver Facilities and Real Estate services for instance in lease renewals, space optimisation planning, energy management.
Work with and manage the relationships with external suppliers of facility services such as cleaning, physical security, waste management, catering, building & equipment maintenance etc.
Be the Workplace champion to advocate and front the workplace hybrid change initiative, with direction from APAC Facilities team.
Be the SPOC for Sydney office Physical Security lead and potentially assuming remit on the States offices.
Collaborate with EHS on conducting Fire Drills exercises and other sustainability initiatives by Medtronic Corporate.
Collaborate with Global Audio Video (AV) Team and APAC Facilities to better manage the AV technology and the maintenance contracts if applicable.

Project Management (10%)

Active participation through collaboration with Global/APAC Facilities Real Estate team on regional capital projects from inception, design development, vendors selection, construction delivery to project closure.
Support in the development of the capital expenditure for Facilities & Real Estate projects and ensure capex forecasting is reported.
Be the site lead to ensure all the project documents were handled over duly upon project completion to develop the facilities maintenance schedule and budget.
Collaborate with APAC Facilities in the development the Facilities & Real Estate Capital Strategy Plan.

Transaction Management (10%)

Support the APAC Facilities Real Estate team to complete the key information e.g. Space Occupancy Decision Tools to develop strategies e.g. Stay vs Move.
Be part of the key team in site selection and collaborate in making informed decision.
Support the administrative process in lease sign, banker guarantee by facilitating amongst Legal, Finance and key stakeholders.

Knowledge and Experience:

High school qualification required.
1 year minimum people management experience required in a similar role.
Ability to read architectural technical drawings.
Computer literacy with a good knowledge of MS Office suite of software.
