About the role An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated and skilled trade professional to join the Facilities team at TAFE Gippsland.
This role as a Facilities Officer will involve covering the Yallourn campus, emphasizing a strong customer service and a dedication to delivering high-quality work.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the responsibilities of the Facilities Officer include:
General maintenanceMinor repairsGroundskeepingUpkeep of tools and equipmentCleaning and servicing of fleet vehiclesManaging building security and accessCoordinating with contractors for various maintenance tasksAbout you You are a great communicator who thrives in collaborative environments.
You have outstanding planning and organisational skills, coupled with problem-solving abilities, adaptability to shifting priorities, and administration skills.
Highly motivated, you demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm, capable of working with minimal supervision while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
You have a 'can-do' attitude and the willingness and ability to be hands-on.
Qualifications and experience Experience in undertaking manual work and operating a variety of machinerySignificant experience (at least 3 years) in building or garden maintenanceExperience in the establishment, compliance with, and enforcement of SWMSExposure to and an understanding of ESMsBasic computer skillsA relevant trade certificate would be highly regardedMandatory requirements Current Victorian Working with Children ClearanceCurrent Police Check (not older than 12 months)Current Driver's License (some travel between campuses is a requirement of the role)How to apply Applications are to be submitted online and must include:
