The Facilities Officer plays a pivotal role in the overall operation of the Central Precinct and is an essential customer liaison with internal and external stakeholders of Council.
This position is a key point of contact for sporting groups, community groups and management committees to connect with Council's Central facilities.
DutiesReporting directly to the Central Leisure Manager, the focus of this position is to:
Facilitate the smooth running of Council's Public halls, community centres, sportsgrounds and showgroundsPerform the role of "Management Committee Ombudsman" for Council Management Committees and provide advice and assistance with issuesPrepare reports to Council and others as requiredProvide assistance with grant applicationsEnsure public hire activities are in accordance with Management Committee Guidelines and Council's adopted Fees & ChargesPromote high level of customer service, provide professional and prompt responses to requests or complaints and administer bookings for Council managed community facilitiesSkills & ExperienceTo be successful in the position, you will possess:
Tertiary qualification in business, property management, recreation planning or management, event management or related field, or equivalentExperience in community facility managementCurrent Class C Driver's LicenceThis position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check.
