Permanent Full Time $83,879pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 4of the EBA5 9 day fortnight 72.5hour fortnight Any 5 days in 7 roster (includes weekend days) Location:Caboolture Waste Management Facility About our opportunity Based at our Caboolture Waste Management Facility, as the Facilities Officer - Waste you'll be providingtechnical advice and support and contributing to the effective and efficient operations of the waste facility, and waste management programs and services as well as:
Being a key point of contact for team members in the day to day operations and service delivery of a large scale, complex waste management facility. Implementing and coordinating technical improvement projects related to waste disposal and resource recovery. Developing and reviewing the department's operational procedures, manuals, and work instructions. Ensuring site compliance with relevant legislation, approved standards, policies and procedures. Preparing reports, correspondence and associated admin. Undertaking environmental health and safety and contractor compliance audits, and awareness training programs. This position requires the successful applicant to beavailable to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours. The repeating roster covers a 9 day fortnight, included a mix of week and weekend days, and includes 2 consecutive non-work days each week.
About you Bring your well developedexperience in waste management facilities and transfer station operations to this role, as well as:
Great online research skills and be comfortable analysing information and incident investigations. A track record of great project management and time management skills. Skills in building high quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and work constructively and efficiently as part of a broader Waste Services team. C class driver's license (required). Construction Induction Card (or be willing to obtain at own expense prior to commencement). Tertiary qualification in waste management, environmental health/science, occupational health and safety or other relevant field,or have relevant experience in lieu of the qualification. Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have agenuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture .
