About Our Role Simplot Australia is seeking applicants for the position of Facilities Maintenance Tradesperson to be engaged on a permanent basis at our Ulverstone manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will require day-to-day building asset repair and maintenance (reactive and preventative) across a Mon-Fri 700 - 1530 work week.
What You Will Do Perform general facilities maintenance and minor repairsMaintain asset management plans and contribute to best practices for building repairs and maintenanceOversee day-to-day contractor management and scheduling, including landscaping and grounds maintenanceConduct regular building and asset audits/inspections, ensuring corrective actions are addressedEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including site safety inspectionsIdentify, plan, and schedule all major repairs to site building assetsAbout You Possess a 100% commitment to health, safety & wellbeing in the workplaceRelevant Trade qualification - Certificate III in building/plumbing/carpentryProven experience within the building industry (3 years minimum)Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentSkilled in communication with a diverse demographic of stakeholders both internal and externalKnowledge of building industry, legislated standards, and regulationAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while also effectively collaborating within a teamWillingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment (incl. urine-based drug & alcohol screening)The Perks Ordinary hourly rates of $41.16ph + overtime (where applicable)Income protection insuranceFully supplied and laundered uniform + boots + all required PPEOn-site soft tissue specialist appointmentsOn-site canteenOn-site parkingPlease click the "Apply" button to submit your covering letter outlining your suitability for the role AND an up-to-date resume (must include 2x work-related referees).
