The Position We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities and Maintenance Officer to oversee the operations and maintenance of three facilities across South-West Sydney on a full-time permanent basis. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with a strong background in facilities management, trade background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects across various locations.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day maintenance of facilities across the Sydney metropolitan area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and standards.Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all facilities, including preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Supervise and manage contractors to support the ongoing operations of these facilities.Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement among all who work and support our business.Prepare maintenance/repair requirements and manage the quotation process, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective maintenance practices.Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising safety, quality, and cost.Oversee relationships with external vendors and contractors, including negotiating quotes and ensuring service levels are met.Plan and execute facility improvement projects, including renovations, upgrades, and repairs.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within cost expectations.Ensure that all work undertaken complies with all building codes and health & safety regulations.Able to conduct ad-hoc inspections and checks of facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.Prepare monthly reports on facility maintenance issues, actions, and costings for the Head of Logistics.About You Relevant building certifications and experience in Facilities Management and/or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in building and/or facilities management or maintenance.Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse number of contractors and collaborate with various stakeholders.Excellent organisational and project management skills.Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to travel between three sites as needed.Company ute and tools provided whilst onsite.Rewards & Benefits Certified Great Place to Work!Salary package inclusive of 17.5% leave loadingA Company-performance bonus paid bi-annuallyAnnual Salary reviewLunch provided daily onsiteSecure onsite parkingHow to APPLY Apply online through our website www.redox.com/careers Redox is an equal opportunity employer which enjoys the benefit of a diverse team.
