Your new roleKempsey Shire Council has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor to join the Properties and Facilities team. This position is a parental leave cover contract, with an expected duration of 12 months.
You will be responsible for ensuring Council-owned and managed property buildings and other community facilities are maintained to an appropriate standard to maximise safe use and to preserve the asset.
Key accountabilities:Coordinate delivery of routine and reactive maintenance of Council-owned and managed buildings and lockable facilities in accordance with Asset Owner's direction.Manage allocated buildings as an Asset Owner such as Council's Civic Centre, Depot and Libraries.Provide asset maintenance and safety advice to Asset Owners.Supervise Council's Cleaner / Caretaker and Maintenance Officer.Supervise the day-to-day operations of Councils 11 Cemeteries ensuring customer service standards, legislative compliance, data management, procedures and staff training.About You:To be successful in this role, you possess Tertiary qualifications or vocational training and/or significant experience demonstrating ability and knowledge of property, facilities management, operations, building/asset maintenance including all associated legislation, codes, guidelines and standards.
In addition, you will prove project and contract management skills and demonstrated skills and ability in the procurement and management of contractors and tradespeople.
You can demonstrate the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and in a fast paced and high-volume work environment.
