Facilities Administrative Support Officer
Clerk Grade: 3/4
Employment Type: Ongoing, Full-time
Location: Principally office based in Pyrmont, Sydney with limited hybrid working arrangements (4 days a week minimum). This role sits in the Business Performance team within the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM).
About the Registry
The NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages is an agency within the NSW Department of Customer Service. The Registry was formed in 1856 to register life events in NSW accurately and securely for all time. This includes the registration of births, deaths and marriages and official changes of name and sex.
About the teams
This ongoing role provides administrative and support services to facilitate the operation of the Facilities and Procurement team in Business Performance.
The responsibilities for this role: Provide a range of administrative and support services, including records management, routine correspondence, meeting and event coordination, to support the effective operation of the team/unit.Collect and compile information for, and prepare documentation and correspondence in line with quality and organisational requirements, to support information flow and inform decision making.Complete routine financial transactions and purchasing services, ensuring compliance with agency standards and procedures.Respond to enquiries, and escalate and redirect issues as required, to ensure the provision of accurate information.Update and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.Support the movement of inventory, which requires some lifting of stores and deliveries.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the ability to: Show drive and motivation with ability to make decisions with autonomy as directed by their team manager. An ability to self-reflect and a commitment to learning.Delivery of high-quality work assignments, achieving results through efficient use of resources and a commitment to quality outcomes.Keep up to date with information and knowledge required to deliver quality service.
