Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities, and designs and constructs automation plants for manufacturing plants and warehouses.The RoleWe are looking for a steel fabricator/welder with trade or post-trade experience to join our team based in Mount Gambier.
In this position, you will be required to complete a wide array of projects ensuring that technical requirements and specifications are met.Responsibilities include:Ability to complete, read and interpret drawings and specifications for projects where requiredSupervise and provide support to apprentices to ensure appropriate training is receivedCoordinate any required resources to complete projects within agreed timeframesEnsuring accuracy and quality of finished workMaintain housekeeping standards, tools, and equipmentTo be considered for this position you will:Completed their qualification and be competent in all aspects of their trade.Have experience in steel fabrication/welding skillsHave experience working in a busy hands-on environmentHave excellent attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and safetyAbility to interpret detail shop drawings and specifications.Support and supervise apprentices to ensure appropriate training is received.Enthusiasm and the ability to multi-taskGreat communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels.Maintain housekeeping standards, tools, and equipmentThe following will be considered an advantage, but not essential for this position:Knowledge in plate fabricationBasic dogging or rigging certificationHold EWP and Working at Heights certificationExperience operating overhead cranesYour skills and work ethic will be rewarded with excellent working conditions and competitive terms and conditions of employment.As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, and drug and alcohol testing.Crossmuller is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
