SA Power Networks has an exciting opportunity for an External Operations and Services Manager to join the Program Delivery team on a permanent basis.

About the opportunity: The External Operations and Services Manager will work closely with major field partners, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of work. This function will act as the conduit between Contract Operations and SA Power Networks, partnering with Program Insights to ensure delivery partners are effective and accountable at a holistic level.
Key role objectives include:
Ensure safe and efficient delivery; oversee and manage the safe and efficient delivery of work by field partners; implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures to maintain high safety standards.
Optimise delivery partner effectiveness: collaborate with Program Insights to evaluate and enhance the performance of delivery partners. Develop and use metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Contract compliance and governance: work closely with Procurement and Governance to ensure all contractual obligations are met at an operational level.
Continuous improvement and compliance activities – partner with service providers to ensure they meet expectations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Operational issue resolutions and coordination—address and resolve operational challenges that arise after work is awarded.
Essential role requirements: Degree in Business Management discipline and/or equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience. Significant experience as an operational manager in a medium- to large-sized operational business. Driver's license (Class C).
