External Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced External Bookkeeper to join our small team, based in Yagoona, Sydney. This role focuses on providing external bookkeeping and support to small business clients for tax purposes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial processes.Key Responsibilities:Conduct recurring bank reconciliations through XeroProcess journal entries and expensesCollaborate with external clients to ensure proper cost coding and approvalsAssist with client tax compliance and reportingPrepare documentation for internal and external auditsAbout You:Strong understanding of bookkeeping and tax accounting principles, particularly for small businessesVery acquainted and familiar with using XeroExcellent communication skills for working with clients and stakeholdersAbility to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlinesTeam player, comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environmentHigh attention to detail and confidentiality in handling financial recordsExperience & Qualifications:Minimum 1 year experience in bookkeeping or tax accountingRelevant qualifications in Bookkeeping and/or Tax AccountingExperience with external reporting and ATO processesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage workflowsBenefits:Part-time permanent role with a competitive salary packageOpportunities for career progressionEligibility: Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and currently reside in the country.Summary of role requirements:Looking for candidates available to work:Tuesday: Morning, AfternoonWednesday: Morning, AfternoonThursday: Morning, Afternoon1 year of relevant work experience required for this roleExpected start date for role: 11 November 2024Expected salary: $36 - $40 per hour
