Job Description About the role Our team provide independent audit, assurance and risk advisory services across a wide range of industries and sectors. They work with clients to help increase their confidence in the integrity of their information, systems and processes.
Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a Supervisor level external auditor, with extensive and demonstrated experience to provide external audit services to a range of clients in conjunction with the wider Assurance and Risk Advisory team in Canberra. The responsibilities will include the provision of financial statement and statutory audits working as part of a structured team. In addition to the technical aspects, this role will also oversee and monitor the workflow of junior staff members and to develop as an external audit specialist allowing for knowledge transfer and training of staff.
Conduct audits in accordance with the International Standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Oversee and perform relevant audit engagements in line with the relevant Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards. Perform financial statement audits, reviews, and specific procedure engagements for diverse entities, including government, private companies, not-for-profit organisations, and statutory entities. Be a trusted point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries on complex business advice and proactive strategies, and liaise with external agencies. Develop and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of standards. Desired Skills and Experience About you Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce or Finance or a Business-related degree. Completed or progressing CA ANZ or CPA accreditation. Experienced, proactive, and team-focused professional with recent external audit experience is required. Proven history of delivering high-quality audit engagements. Strong project management skills and ability to perform under pressure. Exceptional communicator, with methodical problem-solving abilities. Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards. About the Vincents experience Our people are our greatest strength.
