About the Project - Swan River Crossing
The Swan River Crossings project is one of Main Roads Western Australia's most complex and challenging projects, involving road, port, freight, river, walking, cycling, heritage and environmental considerations.
The project will replace the ageing Fremantle Traffic Bridge with Australia's first extradosed bridge, incorporating both cantilevers and cable support, that will create a striking gateway to Fremantle.
About The Role - Riggers
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Riggers, for a permanent, full-time role, based in our Perth precast fabrication yard at Hazelmere. Tasks may include (but not limited to):


Estimating the size and weight of objects to be moved and deciding on appropriate equipment to be used.
Erecting cranes, mobile crane booms and adjusting the height of tower cranes.
Lifting, positioning and bolting components to build up scaffolding.
Attaching sling equipment to load to be lifted.
Installing and operating cables, ropes, pulleys, winches and other lifting tackle.
Inspecting, maintaining and repairing equipment
General yard housekeeping and labouring as required
Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) procedures.


To be considered for this roles, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential:

3+ years demonstrated rigging experienceworking on civil metro construction projects.
Holds a current High Risk Work Licence for basic, intermediate or advanced rigging.

Current Working at Heights certificate (less than 2 years old)
Provide evidence of unrestricted Australian Working Rights.
Hold a valid WA Construction White card and photo ID.
Demonstrated ability to perform duties maintaining high standards in both safety and quality.

Desirable:

A recent Verification of Competency for Rigging would be advantageous
Additional high risk tickets would also be advantageous (LF, WP, C0 etc)
