Please express your interest in working as a Senior House Officer, Principal House Officer, Registrar, Provisional Fellow or Senior Medical Officer within our service.
Mater Health Services comprises of a unique collocation of two public and four private hospitals, and our organisation provides care for over 500,000 patients each year.
Within the organisation, the Mater Hospital Brisbane Emergency Department sees 45,000 public adult patients per year with a 38% admission rate.
A recent reconfiguration of the ED bed platform has led to new employment opportunities.
The Emergency Department is accredited for 12 months advanced training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.
The department's facilities include Short Stay Units and a Medical Assessment.
The Department of Emergency Medicine runs active registrar teaching programs for both Primary and Fellowship candidates undertaking FACEM training.
Emergency Medicine registrars who have progressed to advanced training may be eligible for rotation to training terms in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Rural Emergency Medicine, Retrieval Medicine, and our co-located "Pregnancy ED".
Active Emergency Medicine Research is ongoing in the ED.

To be considered for the positions applicants should be: Eligible for general registration with AHPRA.Preferably registered as a trainee with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or intending to do so. Applicants will also possess: At least 2 years' postgraduate experience (3 years for Registrar/PHO)Broad experience in emergency medicine.Previous experience in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Rural Emergency Medicine is desirable.
