About the Opportunity APS5 Social Media Officer, 12-month contract with a possibility of renewal.

The role is based in Geelong and some in-office time is required.

Team The Media Branch is part of the Strategic Communications Division.
The branch is responsible for engaging with the community through media, social media, digital media and events.
The Social Media team sits within the Media Branch and is responsible for all content published on the Agency social media channels.
The team own two key streams of work, social media content strategy which includes content creation and advertising and social media analytics, listening and reporting.
About the RoleThis role is an exciting opportunity for a social media professional to shape and grow an engaging online community for a national agency.
Key responsibilities include crafting impactful social media content aligned with agency brand and style, supporting strategic social initiatives, and fostering community engagement through third-party content sharing.
The role also involves analysing data to refine social media strategies, creating performance reports, and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure relevant and timely content.
Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of experience in social media for government or national brands, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce creative, accessible content in a regulatory environment.
Familiarity with social analytics, Hootsuite, and experience in the disability or health sectors is a plus.
