About the role:The Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of materials and equipment in a timely and cost effective support of the project.
Your day to day duties will include:Manage the expediting activities on a day-to-day basis and work with other disciplines and stakeholders to support project requirementsParticipate in regular team meetings and escalate issues where required to ensure timely resolutionsCoordinate interfaces with project management, planning, quality and engineering teams, ensuring alignment and communication across functionsBe responsible for coordinating all aspects of desk and field expediting activities, including reporting to project management and the clientDevelop and implement strategies to achieve project milestones, aiming to exceed expectations where possibleReview and monitor delivery schedules to ensure alignment with project timelinesEnsure the delivery of contracted goods and vendor data deliverables, coordinating the flow of materials, packages and assemblies through the production process. This role involves close collaboration with vendors on a regular basis to ensure timely deliveryHandle and monitor more complex packages, identifying delivery improvement opportunities through detailed analysis of supplier project schedulesEnsure the delivery of goods is planned and executed in accordance with project delivery requirementsPrepare and present delivery status reports to management and the client, providing accurate and timely updatesIdentify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process, troubleshooting material availability and delivery issues. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrenceSupport the team and other staff members on matters relating to the timely delivery of the projectMaintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders regarding the status of orders and production schedulesIdentify process gaps and consult with management to develop mitigation strategies and implement solutionsWork with vendors to resolve invoicing issues that could delay critical shipments, ensuring prompt resolution to maintain project timelines.About You:Our ideal candidate will preferably hold a Certificate in an Engineering Discipline or higher, with at least 5 years of experience in an expediting role within an energy-related project environment. A solid understanding of project schedules would also be highly valued.
