Activate Health is looking for our next amazing team member! We are in need of a professional and passionate Exercise Scientist or Therapy Assistant for our Rockhampton and Yeppoon Practices. Ideally you will:
Have completed or started a relevant qualification such as Therapy Assistant or any Bachelor of Health (any Allied Health area) Have some experience working with people with special needs or disability Enjoy working with people of all ages, as a high percentage of work with children to teens will be involved along with seniors. Be surrounded by a passionate and experienced team of Allied Health Professionals: Work as part of a team of Accredited Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists dedicated to patient-centred care and best practice. Benefit from the experience of our team members with over 30 years of accumulated clinical experience, and specialisations in neurological disorders, mental health, and paediatrics, neurodiversity, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and seniors health. Gain experience working in a Multidisciplinary team: Gain valuable experience only gained by working closely with other Allied Health Disciplines, in a unified team working towards best practice in patient-centred care. As an Exercise Scientist and/or Therapy Assistant you will work closely with other Allied Health practitioners and gain training and mentoring for all areas as needed. Be guided with continual support, mentorship, and ongoing professional growth: Activate Health new team member onboarding comprises of time shadowing experienced team members over all our service types and client conditions with continued support and preceptorship. The possibility of further training for specific programs for health promotion, group training, paediatric groups including holiday programs and school groups, and seniors groups. 3-6 and 12 monthly evaluations, with career mentoring and coaching. Yearly remuneration increases with successful evaluations. Participate in fortnightly Health practitioner case conference meetings including in-house AEP/Physio presentations, group case studies, guest speakers, and client brainstorming sessions. Have the tools to progress as a Health Professional: Be supported by a professional team of administrators to handle all administration tasks, and streamline your day. Practice confidently within our purpose-built allied health practices complete with professional consult rooms, fully equipped exercise therapy gyms, and specialised service-specific equipment. A full suite of equipment needed for easy and professional practice including work site cars for out of practice appointments, quality computers and tablets, and medical software. Gain experience in and enjoy a variety of clientele and services: Gain experience in a variety of services and perform clinical prescription for a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, chronic diseases, and disabilities. Become confident in clinical prescription modes including in gym, at home, hydrotherapy, paediatrics, special population group exercise, and exercise for disabilities. Our services include but are not limited to NDIS, Work Cover return to work physical conditioning, work readiness for special needs, chronic disease management referrals, home care packages, type 2 diabetes group referrals, private clients, DVA programs, and health promotion programs. Special population classes within our practices including seniors, Parkinson's, cancer patients and survivors, hydrotherapy, low mobility, type 2 diabetes, NDIS, paediatrics of all ages, kindergarten and holiday programs, and young athletes.
