This opportunity working as a Rehabilitation Consultant stands out as you will also get exposure delivering some of IPAR's innovative services including our pain education Re-thinking Recovery program. This program centres around using virtual reality and modern pain science to help people understand pain and re-train their brain and body. Re-thinking recovery is used in collaboration with a client's current healthcare approach and will involve engagement with the entire treating team to ensure that the service is focused on the client.
Duties of the role include:
Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks) Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments. Qualifications You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!
Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology ; Full Professional Accreditation with ESSA ; Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded; Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders! Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy; It's the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must!
