EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST Casual Healthscope – Hunter Valley Private Hospital Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university.
We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5 theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation (inpatient and day only) and surgical services.

The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Exercise Physiologist to join the Allied Health team on a casual basis.
The role involves working in both the day rehabilitation program and the inpatient rehabilitation setting.
The caseloads include neurological, orthopaedic, amputee, geriatric rehabilitation and aquatic therapy.
As an Exercise Physiologist, your responsibilities will include: Conducting initial assessment, re-assessments and discharge summaries Designing best practice exercise prescription Conducting education sessions Monitoring of patients throughout sessions Support members of the Allied Health team to provide high standard of clinical care to patients/families Work with the Allied Health Team to help patients achieve their goals Adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures Contribute to efficient and effective running of the department Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and occupational health and safety Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent and accredited with ESSA; Demonstrated highly developed communication interpersonal skills; Compliance with the ESSA's policy of mandatory education; Experience working successfully in a multidisciplinary team; DESIRABLE CRITERIA: Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads; Previous hospital experience; Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in conducting individual and group exercise physiology programs; Demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team; Clinical experience as a team leader Employee Benefits: Our OneHealthscope rewards program gives you access to a range of wellness benefits, discounted Healthscope services for you and your family, salary packaging and more as well as discounted onsite parking at Northern Beaches Hospital and access to Fitness Passport!
