Executive Officer to the Executive Director
The Lowy Institute is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Officer to work with the Executive Director of the Institute.

The Executive Officer will provide high-level administrative, strategic and operational support to the Executive Director. They will contribute to the management of relationships with corporate and government members of the Institute and assist in the management of foreign policy-related events, grant and sponsorship applications and communications from the Executive Director.
Duties and key responsibilities Administrative assistance: Strategic monitoring and management of the Executive Director's emails and calendar.Prepare and manage travel itineraries for the Executive Director.Manage the Executive Director's contacts and external communications.Manage Executive meetings by attending and taking minutes.Internal and External Communications: Build relationships with the offices of corporate and government members.In conjunction with the Head of Partnerships, develop a proactive communication plan for the Executive Director and key external stakeholders.Provide support to track and manage applications for grant funding and sponsorships and liaise with funders with the assistance of the Head of Partnerships.Event management assistance: Assist with the management of major events, including the Lowy Institute Media Award Dinner and major strategic dialogues with overseas partners.Skills and experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate high intelligence and a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be proactive, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
