Legacy WA are an iconic charity who provide life-changing support and connectivity for veterans families. This is an exciting time to join us as we are growing and evolving to better support the needs of those that we serve.
A new position has been created for an Executive Officer reporting directly to the CEO. This is a senior administrative appointment that will work closely with the CEO to operationalise Legacy WA's new strategic plan and ensure systems and processes support the intended outcomes.
The role is based at Legacy House, West Perth and may occasionally be required at the Veterans and Families Hub in Rockingham. You will be working within a small, passionate team in a supportive environment undertaking vital work for these families in need, but work that is incredibly rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Planning and Reporting:
Develop and report on operational plans and performance metrics.
Participate in projects, develop progress reports, and address risks.
Contribute to organization-wide performance and improvement.
Build effective relationships with stakeholders.
Implement strategic planning with market insights and key performance indicators.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.
Support the CEO with HR administrative procedures and policy application.
Lead on risk management and compliance with the Team Leads.
Review and update risk management frameworks and internal audits.
Manage contract reviews, procurement approvals, and risk assessments.
Provide strategic risk management advice and clear risk reports.
Design and implement controls for regulatory compliance and risk management.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily business operations, including compliance and administration.
Implement and review administrative processes for efficiency.
Foster a continuous improvement culture.
Executive and Administration Support:
Deliver professional executive and administrative support where required.
Manage executive functions for the CEO, including correspondence and documentation.
Prepare briefing materials and ensure quality responses.
Policy Implementation:
Develop and oversee business policies, practices, and procedures.
Evaluate and enhance existing policies to meet internal and external needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience relevant to the position to enable the effective delivery of the key accountabilities.
Relevant qualifications will be well regarded.
Highly experienced in business systems such as CRM's and digital working tools and platforms.
Evidence of maintaining contemporary knowledge of relevant processes and standards associated with governance, compliance and risk management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to analyse data and conduct research to support strategies, plans and recommendations.
Experience in the successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, demonstrating effective communication and planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure, in a team environment.
High level written communication skills with attention to detail.
A 'can do' attitude and a willingness to take a hands-on approach.
The successful candidate will:
Be eligible to salary sacrifice up to $16,000 per annum.
