Permanent Sydney/Melbourne I Hybrid (2-3 days in Office) Exciting time in Risk Oversight as we support the simplification of our offering to customers through technology How will I help? Due to growth in transformation initiatives across Westpac Group, we are growing our 2nd Line of Defence to strengthen our team over this period of exciting change. Multiple roles available with responsibility to provide oversight of a range of transformational programs across multiple business lines.

As an Executive Manager in Group Risk, you will play a key role in the provision of insight, oversight, and challenge of key initiatives, including UNITE, our multi-year technology simplification program. You will be responsible for the review and challenge of business initiatives, reporting for program forums, risk committees and ad hoc requirements. Additional responsibilities will include:

Applying a risk-based approach to 2nd line Oversight of Change Execution Risk, aligned to the Transformation Policy and Standards, and the 3LoD Model Standard. Attending workstream or initiative steering committees, in addition to regular attendance at Line of Business or Business Unit portfolio committees. To challenge and oversight BAU and UNITE change initiatives, whether product or project driven, to ensure the risks delivered through change are adequately controlled. To provide the business with insights into emerging risks arising from potential changes in business strategy, thematic reviews of internal events, key external learnings, or changes in inherent risk environment. To drive and support the innovation of risk management solutions which are simpler as a foundation for competitive advantage, as well as being aligned and integrated across business units. What do I need? You will be a passionate risk professional, with proven risk experience in a financial services environment, including large scale technology transformation. You will demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and the ability to thrive in a demanding and fast-moving project delivery environment where the Customer and Risk Management is core to delivery.
