The Executive Advisor (EA) plays a pivotal role in supporting the CSO and the security leadership team. The EA facilitates engagement across Group Security with senior CBA leadership and external partners on topics related to strategic planning, alignment of security priorities, communications, and operational efficiency. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and strong leadership skills. Possessing a sound understanding of security, risk, and regulatory issues relevant to Australian and international financial services industries, you will support the CSO and Group Security Leadership Team by:
Shaping Group Security contributions to Board and ELT reporting, Risk Management Declaration (Cyber and Fraud), Tech NFRC input and advice, Investor Relations and Annual Report, responses to regulatory engagements, and briefing and advising on key meetings and engagements with external parties.Supporting the CSO to work through complex issues/challenges and define approaches/recommendations to resolve (including but not limited to; identifying supporting teams, documenting thought process/plan, investigating complexities).Liaising across the organisation into centralised functions and other 'Chief of' office teams.Driving collaboration on strategic planning, and alignment through strategy, planning processes, and management updates.Identifying and addressing explicit and implicit comments and actions from Executive Meetings, managing activities required to close actions and coordinate responses.Facilitating connection across Security Domains to anticipate, identify, and develop opportunities to manage operational consistency and alignment across Group Security and the organization.Providing recommendations to optimise functions and opportunities for continuous learning.Developing and implementing business management practices and operating rhythms, enabling effective management of Group Security LT time and decision-making.Leading strategic initiatives critical to the Group priorities on behalf of the Chief Security Officer.Preparing materials for the Chief Security Officer and Chief Information Security Officer for various business risk and governance forums (including presentation materials, speaking notes, strategy papers, Board and CEO level documentation).Planning out yearly Group Security LT strategy off-sites and promoting a positive and inclusive culture across Group Security.The main responsibilities include:
Ensuring Board and Executive Level papers and reports reflect Group Security strategy, are of high quality, and are managed within the appropriate governance structure.Providing briefs and other necessary preparation for key meetings, events, and engagements.Ensuring the strategic agenda is supported with the right planning and execution.Ensuring all Group Security teams are aligned strategically and are operating cohesively towards agreed goals.Supporting planning and execution by facilitating the quarterly and annual strategy development processes with the Group Security Leadership Team and group planning.Driving cadences and rhythms that ensure the pace and quality of execution exceeds expectations.Driving continuous improvement for our new ways of working within an agile paradigm and working with the Pace Central team.Engaging closely with business partners in the drafting and maintenance of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).Contributing to high impact outcomes supported by quality research and insightful analysis.Shaping and delivering quality solutions and recommendations for the Group Security Leadership Team.See yourself in our team
An exceptionally organized executive, with good knowledge of Agile, you will be experienced in performance measurement and project delivery, with the ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of information, prioritizing and advising accordingly. You will have a proven track record in delivering quality outcomes and producing high-quality papers for CSO, LT, and the Board.
A strong communicator, with excellent influencing skills, you will be analytical with a strong attention to detail when it comes to things such as preparing and writing reports.
The Executive Advisor will possess the ability to navigate across the Group ensuring alignment with other Business Units in terms of priorities, trends, and reporting.
