The organisation is currently undergoing a transition to Government Trading Enterprise (GTE) status and is poised for an exciting future impacting affordable housing outcomes in Western Australia.
Following the appointment of a new CEO and the move of Keystart to GTE status in 2025, which will allow for expansion of their ability to support a larger range of customers with new and different products, enhancing customer outcomes, new strategic roles have been created to enhance the senior leadership capacity and capability.
As a result of the transition, Keystart is seeking to appoint an accomplished corporate affairs professional to guide the organisation by leading government relations, media and stakeholder engagement, corporate reporting and play a key role in successfully navigating the organisation through the transition. This position will be the primary point of contact for the Ministerial Office and will develop organisational competence in the areas of Ministerial, Cabinet and Parliamentary engagement.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the newly created role of Executive Manager, Government and Corporate Relations will engage across the organisation to develop, implement and lead the government relations strategy and provide high-level advice on state government policy and legislative matters. This position has a significant external stakeholder and government relations focus and will direct media strategy and communications efforts with accountability for collation of submissions and responses to government including managing ministerial and parliamentary questions.
To succeed in this high-profile leadership position, you will have substantial experience working in a GTE, political office, government department, or similar. Your experience managing strategic communications and external affairs along with a deep understanding of public sector and government dynamics and a customer-centric approach will be essential for success.
