The City Renewal Authority is leading the transformation of the city renewal precinct, which spans Dickson, Northbourne Avenue, Haig Park, Civic and Acton Waterfront. This role reports directly to the Authority's CEO and Board and provides an opportunity for a highly motivated executive with exceptional leadership skills, extensive experience in urban renewal, city planning and place making to make a mark on the nation's capital.
The Executive General Manager Urbanisation & Renewal role is one of three key senior leadership positions within the City Renewal Authority. The successful candidate will be directly accountable and responsible for driving a wide range of strategic urban renewal initiatives, capital works and land release programs within an environment that involves complex and often competing stakeholder relationships, to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with the Authority's vision.
This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of urban planning, development, land release and capital works programs, the proven capability to deliver outcomes as well as understand and operate within a strong governance framework.
Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $321,988 – $334,882, depending on the current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $286,536. Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
