Job DescriptionWe are on the search for an experienced Executive General Manager, Marketing & Membership to lead a high performing team to maximise the appeal and success of marketing and communications to drive customer acquisition and retention, build brand equity and grow membership.
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive General Manager, Marketing & Membership will be a member of the Executive Leadership team and will lead a team to deliver and manage the following core areas of the business:
Programs and Products: Membership Ticketing / Admissions HeritageServices to support business operations: Marketing including advertising, promotions, and digital and social mediaPR, Media, and Communications Brand management Market Research Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat are we looking for?
We are seeking an outstanding candidate who has tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Events or equivalent, deep knowledge and credible experience in venue and event management, strategic leadership and people management skills, in addition to a proven track record in operational planning, budgeting and project management within a marketing environment.
In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, brand, and customer experience across Melbourne Royal. You will develop strategies and annual plans to programs, products and services to service business operations and support other related marketing objectives. You will lead the research and insights to understand sentiment, trends, barriers, and growth opportunities to amplify brand awareness and engagement with consumers and relevant business and industry sectors (food, ag, beverages).
You will oversee the execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring they are aligned with Melbourne Royal's brand values and objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, events and community engagement, to create cohesive and impactful marketing initiatives.
To be successful in the role you need to demonstrate business acumen and be a catalyst for effective change management, have strong analytical skills and experience applying your outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
