Job DescriptionA bit about the role... BUSY At Work (BAW), a division of The BUSY Group Ltd, operates in a rapidly changing business landscape marked by evolving government policies and heightened service expectations. The roles primary objectives center on achieving performance and growth/sustainability goals while ensuring compliance with contracts and standards. The Executive General Manager will be a experienced commercial senior leader and will play a crucial role in leading the strategic development and management of BAW's programs and services while leading BAW General Managers to grow operations and exceed performance indicators. This role reports to the Group CEO.
This position requires a proactive approach in driving commercial and contract performance in addition to achieving strategic growth ambitions. The Executive General Manager is also responsible for fostering a collaborative culture aligned with The BUSY Group's values, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing among team members. Additionally, the role involves identifying growth opportunities, expanding client and stakeholder relationships, and developing new business strategies to enhance service delivery and drive growth, ultimately contributing to BAW's overall success.
This permanent full time role is based at our Southport Head Office, however other locations may be considered for the right candidate.

Lead the BAW business entity within The BUSY Group context. This includes operational carriage for BAW Employment Services, Apprenticeships Services, Scholarships and Grants Services and Youth, Health and Community Services divisionsLead the formulation and implementation of budgets and strategic business plans for BAW to achieve long-term organisational goalsBuild and maintain relationships with senior government officials, internal stakeholders, industry stakeholders, and clients to enhance service delivery and drive business growthMonitor and evaluate BAW performance, ensuring teams meet internal and contractual KPIs. Drive excellence in performance in all programsOngoing development of BAW Scholarship and Grant function and Youth and Community ServicesOversee budget formulation and financial analysis for all contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and sustainable growthDirect operational teams to ensure effective service delivery across all programs, maintaining compliance with relevant legislative requirementsLead initiatives for continuous improvement, commercial analysis and change management, adapting strategies to meet evolving business needs Desired Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for an Executive General Manager with a proven ability to create a compelling vision for business growth and develop clear, strategic plans to achieve ambitious goals. Minimum 5+ years in an Executive role, preferably in a not-for-profit A degree in a related discipline is highly desirable Demonstrated experience in areas of Financial and Performance Analysis, People Management, and general overall business management Demonstrated experience in the provision of outsourced Government services, particularly in Employment and Apprenticeship servicesDemonstrated and proven ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision within a diverse environment Demonstrated ability to grow business and achieve mastery in delivery of outcomes Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general business principles and commercial practices, the ability to apply that knowledge, including the capacity to identify internal control deficiencies and to develop and implement control systems which enhance compliance and accountability Strong appreciation of change management methodologies in order to achieve business outcomes, while managing the various aspects of change appropriately Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business transformation activities Ability to obtain a police check with no disclosable outcomes and working with children 'blue card' Next Steps...
