This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering impactful programs, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven leader to play a vital role in fostering innovation within the food system while contributing to a more sustainable future.Key Responsibilities:Program Leadership and DeliveryDesign, implement, and evaluate innovative programs aligned with the company's mission.Ensure program outcomes meet strategic goals and contribute to broader organisational impact.Adapt strategies to accommodate a fast-paced work environment with long-term outcomes.Stakeholder Engagement and AdvocacyCultivate relationships with government agencies, industry leaders, policymakers, and other stakeholders.Advocate for the company's mission through public representation and strategic partnerships.Navigate stakeholder expectations, particularly in the non-profit and corporate sectors.Strategic Planning and GovernanceCollaborate with the board and leadership team to refine strategic plans and set measurable goals.Provide clear, actionable insights to inform governance and organisational decisions.Balance big-picture strategic oversight with detailed operational guidance.Team and Resource ManagementLead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and adaptability.Support team members' development and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.Oversee resource allocation to optimise program and organisational efficiency.About You:Proven leadership in non-profit or social enterprise sectors, focused on program delivery and advocacy.Strong understanding of Australian market dynamics and funding structures.Skilled in managing relationships with boards, government, and industry leaders.Exceptional emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership style.Strategic thinker with the ability to balance process and relationships.High adaptability and proactive problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills to inspire and guide teams and stakeholders.Experience in international development, ESG, or sustainability is a plus.More Information:Location: Melbourne, VICType: 4 days per week (0.8 FTE)Hybrid model: 3 days in Melbourne office and 1 WFH (Monday mandatory for team meetings).Office space: Co-working space in North Melbourne alongside impact organisations.Summary of role requirements:Flexible hours availableMore than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this roleWorking rights required for this roleExpected start date for role: 13 January 2025
