Join us in driving policy reforms that align with government priorities, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of citizens.This role is responsible for a range of social policy areas including justice, policing and corrections policy, families, child protection, domestic and family violence and disability policy, as well as a range of contributions to State and national whole of government and society reforms.Currently, the role has oversight of three teams, as well as working in close partnership with a range of teams across The Cabinet Office, Premier's Department and other agencies.Alongside the specific skills and experience required, all candidates will:Be eager to make a difference to the communities of NSW.Have extensive experience leading the delivery of policy reforms, resolving policy conflicts, and executing complex strategies.Collaborate with senior stakeholders to consult, seek input, and build consensus on key policy decisions.Have the ability to navigate and influence senior stakeholders across various government agencies.Identify and analyse complex interactions, uncovering innovative solutions to address challenges.Demonstrate excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.Demonstrate the capacity to deliver outcomes in the public sector context, including Cabinet, budget and legislative processes.Lead a Branch with innovation, adaptability, self-motivation, and flexibility.Exhibit robust analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.Commit to the highest levels of ethical behaviour and integrity.Have significant experience in people leadership.The following will be highly regarded:Ability to deliver strategic policy advice and analysis on complex matters, often within limited timeframes.Strong people leadership and stakeholder skills.A strong understanding of Cabinet, Parliament and Government administration.Legal qualifications and/or experience with managing the development and passage of legislation and/or development of regulatory functions.We know the value of diverse experiences.
