The position
As the Executive Director of Policy, Advocacy, and Regulatory Services, you will lead the development and implementation of strategies that support Dietitians Australia's mission. You'll play a key role in shaping national and state-level policies, advocating for reforms that elevate the dietetics profession and improve public health outcomes.
This role involves building strong partnerships with government, industry, and academic stakeholders while overseeing regulatory compliance and accreditation processes. Leading a high-performing team, you will ensure the policy, advocacy, and regulatory services portfolios align with and deliver on the organisation's strategic objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:
Proven leadership experience within the public sector or highly regulated environments, ideally in health or allied sectors.
A strong understanding of the health system and the nutrition and dietetics landscape in Australia, including key regulatory issues.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging government, industry, and community leaders.
High-level strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of influencing public policy and regulatory frameworks.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in nutrition and dietetics, with full membership and APD status with Dietitians Australia.
Strong leadership capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire teams and drive collaborative outcomes.
