Executive Assistant to the Head of School Administration | Whole School
Provide pivotal support to the Head of School Work in a collaborative and inclusive team environmentElevate your career at Canberra Grammar SchoolAbout the Role The Executive Assistant to the Head of School is a pivotal andhighly-respected role supporting the Head of one of the biggest,most prominent and dynamic independent schools in Canberra; anorganisation encompassing more than 2200 students, over 700employees and a large extended community.
The Executive Assistant will provide high-level support to theHead of School and will have outstanding organisational andinterpersonal skills. Duties will be clerical and administrative aswell as strategic and project-based.
The role will include managing the Head's workflow,prioritising tasks and access to the Head, the management anddocumentation of meetings, scheduling of appointments and travelarrangements, as well as the handling of information requests anddrafting of correspondence and other writing. 
The Executive Assistant will work closely with the Head andmembers of the School leadership teams, and will engage constantlywith board members, School staff, parents, students and members ofthe wider community. The Executive Assistant is often privy toconfidential and sensitive information and must have diplomacy,discretion and integrity at all times.
About You You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
A minimum of 5 years' experience at a SeniorExecutive Assistant level, ideally including:Experience in project administrationEffective management of highly confidentialinformationKnowledge and understanding of the education sector(desirable)

Excellent administrative and organisational skills,including:Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook,Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Aptitude for learning new IT systems such as thoseused at the School (CGS Connect, Synergetic)Excellent writing and communication skills,including spelling, punctuation and grammaticalaccuracyImpeccable attention to detail including infollowing procedures, ensuring high quality output andtaking action where required

Appropriate qualifications and certification, including:A relevant tertiary degree or qualification(desirable) Current First Aid and CPR Qualifications (orwillingness to obtain) A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable PeopleCard and a valid Police CheckFull working rights within Australia

A proactive, flexible and versatile attitude that isresponsive to changing priorities, including:The ability to plan, organise, prioritise,schedule, use available resources, drive workflow,problem solve, manage competing deadlinesThe ability to work flexible hours to enableimportant tasks and high priorities to be completedwithin exacting timeframes

Excellent interpersonal skills, including:The ability to work both autonomously and as partof a teamDiplomacy, sensitivity and integrityA personable and approachable nature with theability to communicate effectively with all peopleacross the organisationAll team members at CGS are required to have:
