This role is a versatile outdoor position within the Trail Crew team, responsible for both maintaining existing trails and constructing new ones, including those for racing and events. This role also involves assisting other resort departments as needed, with duties that may shift based on priority and workload. Excavator Operator Roads and Civil: This role will be working within the mountain department focusing on the maintenance of existing and future infrastructure including but not limited to, pipeline laying, maintenance of mountain roads, and summer walking tracks. This position also includes summer maintenance of winter trails and duties will often vary depending on work priorities. Responsibilities:Safely and competently operate a diggerMonitor the operating performance of vehicles in your chargeUnderstand and facilitate machine pre-start checks and procedures, and assist with any other general maintenance that may be requiredSafeguard against fuel spills or any environmental contaminationOn occasion assist with general duties required in the day-to-day operation of resort facilities including; painting, shovelling, raking, hammering, carrying rocks, scrub and tree removal as well as installing signage, conduit and wooden stakes.Experience and Skills:Ability to/or learn to operate a variety of diggers (1.5, 14, 30 Tonnes)Valid driver's licencePrevious experience in MTB Trail Building desirableWork, live and play in the mountains!
