About the Role As our Excavator & Drill Reliability Inspectors at Mount Pleasant, you will be part of a team that strives for the best in fleet maintenance and management.
You will work a Monday/Friday or Monday/Thursday roster dayshift only, 10.5hr to 12-hour days.
In this role, you will: Perform routine inspections on our Excavator and Drill fleet to generate work orders and scope for planned work.Review and advise on the fleet condition monitoring.Assist with planning, scheduling, and component replacement strategy.Assist with statutory compliance.Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment including Liebherr 9600, 996, 9400, 9350 and other ancillary equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation.Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems.Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.Conduct inspections and opportune work to prevent downtime and maximise equipment utilisation.About You Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Cert III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Earthmoving Mobile Plant Equipment) or similarPost-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving IndustryExperience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts and servicing of Heavy Earth Moving EquipmentDemonstrated experience with Komatsu and CAT large earthmoving equipment.Understanding of Reliability and Oil sampling practicesExposure to work order management and parts orderingWhat Thiess Can Do For You Permanent full-time positionsEven time, lifestyle rostersThiess' commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options – Novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About Us Thiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open-cut and underground mining.
