Tasmania's Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) has an opportunity available for an experienced Warehousing and Logistics Leading Hand to join the team.
The Warehousing and Logistics Leading Hand will report to and work closely with the Manager Warehousing and Logistics playing a key role in supervising and coordinating logistics operations, ensuring that the flow of goods and materials within the warehouse and throughout the supply chain is efficient and accurate.
The position is responsible for leading and assisting the warehouse team in daily operations, including maintaining inventory accuracy, optimising workflow, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating logistics activities including event management such as Dark Mofo.

The Gig: Event logistics and planning with the coordination of inventories and supplies for Dark Mofo and events, including coordinating and supporting the seasonal staff added to support busy festival periods.
Lead, mentor, and supervise warehouse and logistics staff, and allocate tasks and oversee the performance of team members.
Monitor and manage inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Coordinate loading and unloading operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and equipment, including safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading, unloading, and moving materials efficiently.
Liaise with fleet providers and services to organise timely and cost-effective deliveries and services and conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Ensure products are handled and stored according to company and industry standards and identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and logistics processes.
Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures and legislation, and report hazards, injuries, incidents, or near misses immediately and assist with follow-up investigations.
The You: Experience in warehousing and logistics, processing incoming and outgoing goods/stock with the ability to oversee and follow processes and procedures to stakeholder needs.
Certificate III Warehousing Operations, or similar qualifications, will be highly regarded.
Experience in a multi-industry organisation is highly regarded and beneficial to succeeding in this role.
Extremely organised and capable of mobilising and scheduling resources to facilitate efficient service delivery that doesn't incur unnecessary downtime.
Prior supervisory experience with the ability to identify training opportunities for employees that build on existing strengths and address skill gaps in the broader team.
A current forklift and drivers licence is essential.
A heavy vehicle licence is desirable, or a willingness to obtain.
