About the Opportunity
As the Global Head of Operations for FCM Meetings & Events, you will ensure consistent customer service across operations, customer implementation, and product delivery for FCM Venue Finder, Managed Meetings, Group Travel, and Event Management.
Reporting to the FCM M&E Global General Manager, in this role you will define operational global strategies, methodologies, and processes for M&E markets, ensuring consistent execution.
Your focuses will be on productivity, profit, customer satisfaction improvements, aligning supply, digital product, and technology strategies.
You will also act as Project Owner/Executive Sponsor on large-scale, transformational projects to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, London, or New York and is open to internal applicants.
What you'll be doing:
Define, develop and execute the global operational strategy and processes, leveraging global efficiencies and considering localized nuances.
Oversee and develop global KPIs and success measures for operations.
Streamline workflow and optimize resources.
Assist with systems, product, and process implementations.
Ensure consistency and coordination with global customers' requirements; may contribute to the sales process when required for solution design input.
Communicate with key contacts, both internally & externally.
Define, monitor, and report on operational and implementation KPIs.
Influence performance within the operational teams.
Lead/sponsor business improvement projects across the FCM M&E network globally.
Strategic alignment and collaboration with FCM Productive Operations and Global Program Management Office teams.
Ensure business transformation projects impacting operations are executed successfully as agreed on with the Global GM.
What you'll need:
At least 3 years in a similar role, industry expertise.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to adapt to stakeholders across varying levels and regions.
Adaptable, resilient, solutions-oriented, and critical/design thinking.
Global and cross-cultural competence.
Strong analytical skills & financial acumen.
Thorough understanding of M&E systems and processes, and a mindset geared towards business improvement, productivity gains, and customer experience.
Technical understanding of workflow across our systems.
Event Management technology - FCM Venue Finder, Group Travel, Managed Meetings, and Event Management.
Desirable additional skills: Procim, EventsAir and/or Cvent, Wrike, Microsoft Dynamics, internal financial systems.
Experience across multiple internal regions or countries will be highly desirable.
