When you work with the RFS, you join a passionate team committed to protecting our neighbours, the wider community, and the environment from the threat of bush fires and other emergencies.What You'll be doing:We are seeking a motivated and strategic thinker to join our newly formed team as a Climate Risk Policy Officer.
In this pivotal role, your contributions will shape policies and initiatives that protect communities, infrastructure, and the environment from current and future bush fire impacts.As our ideal candidate, you will have:A background in environmental policy, climate science, or a related field.Demonstrated experience in policy development, ideally within NSW Government.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively.Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.Knowledge of climate change adaptation strategies and bush fire risk management principles.If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please access the role description and our organisation structure.Note: As per the role description, candidates are required to meet minimum essential requirements.
