About the role Shape the student experience at UNSW! Work alongside a team of full time and student staff to engage and develop the students of UNSW by supporting over 350 student-run Clubs. Spearhead Arc's engagement with Arc-affiliated Clubs through coordinating Club-focused events and initiatives, and encouraging, facilitating and elevating Club-run activities.

Who are we? Arc UNSW is a not-for-profit student life organisation, whose mission is to provide the best student experience. We support over 350 student clubs, wellness and sustainability programs, manage the Village Green Sporting precinct, and run several venues on campus including the Grad Shop and Roundhouse.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities The role will have varied tasks which may include, but are not limited to:


Coordinate and provide event management and logistical support to events run by the Arc team, such as O-Week, HobbyCon and International Markets Drive engagement between the Arc Clubs team and student stakeholders, especially Arc-affiliated Clubs, their members and the wider UNSW community. Develop engaging and approachable relationships with Clubs and Club Executives Create and present training to Clubs and student staff on events and risk management as well as other areas that will allow student events to thrive. Provide support and advice on running both small and large-scale events to enhance the visibility of Arc Clubs and Arc-affiliated Clubs within the UNSW Community Review & Develop: review existing Arc-run Club event and activity offerings and drive the development of new offerings, in consultation with students and Clubs Assist the Clubs Manager to develop & achieve department goals, especially in relation to Club stakeholder engagement Assist in the delivery of other student programs and events For further details on this role, please view the position description, available on our website. 


Essential Passion for Campus life, to maximise it at UNSW through student Clubs.   Proven skills and experience managing events involving many stakeholders  Experience in student engagement, ideally within a university setting  Proven interpersonal skills and experience, ability to work with and positively engage with many different types of people, especially students in a student-oriented environment; a strong background in customer service is preferable;  High level oral and written communication skills including proven skills in relationship building;  High attention to detail with demonstrated project planning skills, including experience in planning, overseeing and finalising the completion of projects on time;  Demonstrated competent use of Windows OS, with Intermediate skill competence in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Word and Excel);  Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Ethical Practice, along with the ability to apply these principles in the workplace;  Desirable Experience with student Clubs (or similar organisations), especially at UNSW Proven experience drafting, reviewing and establishing new policy and procedures. Proven understanding and experience in cultural diversity issues, awareness, promotion and advocacy; Proven experience using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) with Microsoft Excel Experience using CRM software, especially Salesforce & Formstack Proven experience establishing and training others in administrative procedures Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Ethical Practice, along with the ability to apply these principles in the workplace; Current Working With Children Check Current NSW Drivers Licence (at least Provisional) What We Can Offer You A full-time role of 5 days per week Salary of $65000 plus Super A unique opportunity to shape what Club-focused engagement looks like at UNSW A fun, fast and driven environment with lots of potential for learning and growth Awesome professional experience working in a sector leading organisation A chance to be a change maker – making a real difference A spot on our trivia team (How's your geography knowledge?)
