About the Role This fantastic opportunity is for an experienced Events & Digital Marketing Co-ordinator to join our reputable and close-knit Business Development & Marketing (BDM) team in our Sydney office.This role plays an integral part in supporting our business development and marketing activities – assisting to retain, grow and manage key client relationships and to raise the profile of sector/practice groups and the Meridian brand internally and externally.
Key duties and responsibilities As a key member of the team , you will be responsible for a broad range of duties including:
Events
Assisting the BD & Marketing team to develop internal and external marketing activities to raise the profile of individual practitioners, sector/practice groups and legal services – aligned with practice group business plans and goalsPlanning, executing and managing the logistics for a range of external events including conferences, speaking engagements, sponsorship, workshops, seminars, educational sessions, webinars, podcasts, networking events and social eventsCoordinating with vendors, suppliers and internal teams on logistical aspects of event managementAssist in developing budgets and timelines, tracking expenses and ensuring events are delivered within budget parametersWork closely with other suppliers and internal teams to develop event collateral, promotional materials, signage, presentations, name badges and other materialsConduct post-event surveys where applicableMonitor and evaluate event feedback from attendees and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future eventsKeep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities and emerging event management technologies to enhance client experiencesAssist in driving content strategy to promote eventsDigital marketing
Assisting in drafting, editing and publishing content on Meridian's website, social media channels and Meridian's intranet, and monitoring engagement across these channelsPerform fundamental search engine optimisation activities (eg. keyword research/rankings, competitive analysis, analysis SEO industry best practice)Work with the BD & Marketing team to expand Meridian's social media presence to additional social media channelsLeverage existing content through social media channelsMonitor industry trends and competitor tacticsAssisting in the creation, distribution and monitoring of email marketing campaignsPerform regular audits to identify issues and ensure all sites are optimizedProduce monthly reports detailing engagement and activity across all social media channelsKnowledge & Experience Minimum three to five years' experience in a professional services environmentExperience in using email marketing programs such as Vision 6 or similarExperience in search, online or digital marketingExperience in WordPress, Google Analytics, SEOExperience in LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok platformsBasic graphic design and desktop publishing skills with the ability to create and format work for use in newsletters, the website and intranet and other visual media would be highly regardedAbout you To be considered for this role, you will need to:
