$87,678 per annum plus Superannuation Full Time, Fixed term to 30 June 2025 Geelong Headquarters (Hybrid) About the role The Events Assistant is integral to the successful delivery of external and internal WorkSafe events.
Under the guidance of the Manager Events, the Event Assistant's key responsibility is to ensure all events are delivered to high standards, on time, on budget and align to WorkSafe's strategic objectives.
The Events Assistant works across a range of external and internal events across WorkSafe's Event Calendar.
These include: Health and Safety Month WorkSafe Awards Recognition of Excellence Awards Board and Executives Leadership Team's regional visits Other ad hoc events as requested throughout the year Key accountabilities include: Providing coordination support and assistance to the Manager Events helping to ensure the timely delivery of WorkSafe events Undertaking program management and governance support responsibilities, including scheduling and tracking of program priorities against project plans and engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders Project managing components of major events that include, but not limited to, designing presentation frameworks and timelines, creating delivery and rehearsal matrices for webinar programs Developing effective partnership arrangements with key internal stakeholders helping to ensure the timely delivery of all relevant event documentation Managing speakers and emcees, including the timely drafting and distribution of all correspondence such as scripts, speaker notes and event directives.
Providing expertise to review, assess, develop and maintain all appropriate documentation required for successful event project management Please ensure you take a look at the Position Description here for additional information on accountabilities for this role.
About you You have demonstrated: Experience in working on multiple large-scale events that have been on time, on budget and to a high standard.
Excellent planning and organisational skills with an ability to manage workflow and priorities.
Comfortable in managing tight timelines whilst working in a changing and uncertain environment.
Ability to interpret statistical data and provide event analysis that can be used for continuous improvement.
Well advanced in Microsoft Office and Excel and proficient in e-Records.
Ability and willingness to work in a transparent, collaborative environment.
