Event Support Expert (Team Leader) (40 hours) POSITION SUMMARY The Portsmouth Marriott Hotel is looking for an Event Support Expert (Team Leader) to help support and lead the fantastic Conference and Banqueting Team! We are looking for a passionate individual wanting to deliver a first-class experience at the world-leading hospitality company Portsmouth Marriott Hotel, located near famous landmarks such as the Spinnaker Tower. The hotel provides exceptional, personal, and friendly service whilst catering to a variety of guests.

What you'll be doing as an Event Support Expert (Team Leader) Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate supplies. Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service. Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen. Ensure courses are properly cleared and crumbed in a timely fashion. Manage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guests. Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations, and service areas. Lead shifts and serve as a role model to our fantastic banqueting team. Lead on delivery of our amazing range of conference and events. Organize the day-to-day running of our events to ensure a smooth and seamless operation. Support the Restaurant and Bar operation within our Cast Iron Bar and Grill. Work closely and efficiently with our passionate Sales and Events department. A successful Event Support Expert (Team Leader) is someone who: Enjoys the fast-paced operation. Leads by example and is a team player. Can communicate clearly (verbal, listening, writing). Is proactive, reliable, and can support shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
