Event Operations Support: Assist with event setup, pack down, and on-the-day operations.Ensure all event areas are prepared and meet URBNSURF's high standards.Work closely with the Event and Partnership Manager and collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure the smooth execution of events.Provide on-site support during events, including directing attendees and managing logistics and administration tasks.Administration Support: Assist in maintaining event documentation, checklists, and reports.Help with pre-event preparations, including guest lists, invoicing, runsheets, equipment and stock maintenance.Maintain clear communication with event stakeholders and assist with any queries or follow-ups.Bar Service: Oversee bar service & operations during events.Ensure high standards of customer service are met while serving beverages to guests.Maintain responsible service of alcohol standards and cleanliness of bar and event areas.Stocktake: Assist with stock management, including counting and organising inventory before and after events.Help manage and replenish stock supplies as needed during events.Customer Excellence: Ensure guests are welcomed and assisted as needed during the event.Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.Maintain a safe and secure environment during events.Experience & Qualifications: RSA qualified.First Aid & CPR essential preferred.Previous experience in event coordination and staff management preferred.Hospitality (Food & Beverage Service) experience preferred.Strong organisational & multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work outdoors and adapt to various weather conditions.Must be available to work Friday to Sunday October-April and public holidays as required.PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Deliver successful onsite training of staff and contractors.Manage F&B and all stock takes pre and post events.Guest Satisfaction - Post-event surveys or feedback on logistics-related aspects (e.g., registration process, venue setup, catering).All logistical event elements (equipment, supplies, etc.) are delivered and set up on time and to budget.High level of collaboration and communication with on-site departments.Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years prior event experience or other relevant fields.
Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (essential). Whilst we are looking for a part-time worker to join our team, this job has the option to be casual.
